THE GROENPLAATS:
Around the site of number 9 (and the adjacent buildings), renowned hospitality venues and hotels once established themselves, including the famous Hotel Rubens and the Grand Café de l'Univers.
The square grew into the true social heart of Antwerp, especially after the installation of the iconic statue of Peter Paul Rubens in 1843. After the closure and redevelopment of the Grand Bazar complex in the 1990s, the individual facades and retail spaces along the edges of the square regained a more independent role.
This beautiful building, nestled in the shadow of the cathedral, has hosted various proprietors over the years—starting after the Grand Bazar era with Restaurant Rubenshof and Brasserie HOBS.
Since June 2026, we at MOZART have taken over the location. In addition to our various event rooms, we boast a lovely, cozy terrace where we are delighted to serve you—just as we do in Aalst, Bruges, and Brussels.
The same menu, the same passion, and the same quality you have come to expect from us, accompanied by friendly service and top quality at a great price.
Alongside our famous "all you can eat" ribs, our menu offers many other homemade delicacies. We warmly invite you to dine with us and enjoy the atmosphere and great service.

Our reservation system automatically checks availability for your selected date.
For groups of 30 people or more, we are available upon request, including outside our regular opening hours.
You can choose à la carte, or we can gladly create a customized menu tailored to any budget.
