Mozart Brussels
Mozart Brussels is located in the Petite Rue des Bouchers (short Butchers street), close to the Grand-Place.
The Petite Rue des Bouchers, together with the Rue des Bouchers, is known for its many restaurants that are located in these cozy streets.
This area is also a bit notorious for the many “proppers” that try to lure in customers with often empty promises or tourist sales pitches. Unfortunately, the price / quality ratio was often beneath contempt.
Of course we do not participate in this at Mozart and we notice that in the meantime a few more restaurants have been taken over, and the “tourist traps” are missing.
The city is also investing in this district, called “Ilot Sacré” by, among other things, the redevelopment of the cobblestones and street lighting.
Ilot Sacré is part of a medieval alley complex in the historic center of Brussels,
which is also called “the stomach of Brussels” because of its culinary character.
During the Middle Ages, mainly goat and mutton vendors, sausage manufacturers and pig butchers lived here.
Mozart, known for his “ribs à volonté” is really in place here.
Mozart is “more than just ribs”, so you can also come to us if you don’t feel
like eating spareribs.
Nice places of interest in the area include the elegant bronze fountain of “the water-spewing girl” in the Bergstraat, “Jeanneke pis” at Delirium Village and the Royal puppet theater: Theater Toone in the Petite Rue des Bouchers.
